Frome Town Council is hosting a Willow Festival at Rodden Meadow Saturday 2 April, 10am-4pm. The event will see a living willow tunnel created – with members of the public helping to plant it. The Carymoor Environmental Trust will be at the festival to provide expert advice and hands-on guidance for this.
There will be family friendly workshops throughout the event, where people will be able to drop in throughout the day to make willow keep-sakes to take away.
River improvement works have been taking place in Rodden Meadow, too – so the Festival will be a chance to see the new willow arbour in the meadow and look at the river improvement works that volunteers have helped with over the last couple of weeks.
