The following road closures are due to take place in and around Frome during August 2021.
Cherry Grove and footpaths
Somerset County Council have made an order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Cherry Grove for a distance of 34 metres and all pedestrian traffic from proceeding along Footpaths FR20/50 and FR20/54 as shown on the map:
This order is to enable E. G. Carter & Co Ltd to carry out re-development of a social housing site.
The works commenced on the 11th May 2021 and are expected to last until 19th October 2022 between the hours of 00.00 – 23.59.

Selwood Road and Welshmill Lane
Somerset County Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Selwood Road and Welshmill Lane, for a distance of 654 metres as shown on the map:
This order will enable Somerset Highways to carry out structural maintenance works.
The order becomes effective on the 29th July 2021 with works expected to start on the 2nd August 2021 until 13th August 2021 between the hours of 08.00 – 17.00 for a total of 12 days.
From 2 – 13 August, the Libra Travel 184 service will pick up passengers at the coach park at the bottom of Cork Street/Waterloo. This can be accessed via the Westway Shopping Centre.

Beechwood Avenue
Mendip District Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting traffic from travelling along Beechwood Avenue from 11.00-19.00 on Sunday 22nd August 2021.

Palmer Street and Stony Street
Somerset County Council have issued a temporary traffic restriction notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along the entire length of Palmer Street and a temporary suspension of one way traffic for the entire length of Stony Street as shown on the map:
This order will enable Sunbelt Rentals on behalf of BT to carry out cable replacement works.
The works are expected to start on the 23rd August 2021 until 25th August 2021 between the hours of 21.00 – 06.00 for a total of 3 days.

Park Road
An emergency road closure will be in place on Park Road for three days from Monday 16th August. The closure will enable Bristol Water to carry emergency works to a leak.

Bulls Quarries Road
Somerset County Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Bulls Quarries Road, for a distance of 60 metres as shown on the map:
This order will enable Bristol Water to carry out works to replace a stop tap.
The order becomes effective on the 19th August 2021 with works expected to start on the 25th August 2021 until 26th August 2021 between the hours of 00.00 – 23.59 for a total of 2 days.
