Have you ever wondered how you could do more to help your local community? Have you often thought about volunteering but feared you might not have the time? Have you been affected by cancer or know someone who has and would like to help support people living with a life threatening illness? Then Positive Action on Cancer has the perfect opportunity for you!
This year sees PAC celebrating its 21st Birthday, in that time the charity has supported hundreds of families and individuals through their darkest and most challenging moments and are often referred to as a ‘lifeline’. To continue its work PAC desperately needs more volunteers to help fundraise and spread the word about their cause.
By becoming a PAC volunteer and donating your time, ideas, energy and skills, you can make a real difference to the lives of people affected by cancer and other life threatening illnesses. You don’t need to give a set amount of time each week – just sign up to help and you can choose where and when.
Positive Action on Cancer is a local charity offering free, professional counselling to adults and children affected by cancer and other life threatening illnesses. PAC is based in Frome but also offers counselling in Bath, Wiltshire and elsewhere in Somerset. This service relies entirely on the generous donations and support from the communities that PAC operates in, and has worked to support a many number of people over the last 21 years.
“Our 21st Birthday is an exciting landmark and we hope to raise enough funds to secure the service for future generations and ensure that our services reach those that need it most. The Frome community has supported us throughout our 21 years and we’d love to start the next 21 years with more volunteers than ever to help us expand our work.
