On Thursday 26th September Hunting Raven is inviting Frome residents who would like to make new connections to Meet by the Book.
The free, bookishly themed event is aimed at young(ish) people who want to meet people with similar interests and become more embedded in the Frome community while enjoying a warm friendly evening of books and more.
Cllr Andy Wrintmore said, “Frome hosts a wealth of activities and initiatives that can help you meet new people, find new interests and get involved in the local community. We have lots of groups and clubs listed on the Frome Town Council and Discover Frome websites. At ‘Meet by the Book’ you can find lots of this information and you’ll get the chance to meet some new friends along the way.”
Whether you’re new to the area, work from home or simply want to get more involved in the community this event is for you. It will include music, talks, food and information on the many ways you can build connections in a way that suits you.
Hunting Raven, who are hosting the event which takes place at Frome Town Hall from 7:30-9:30pm, are asking guests to bring along a book as a conversation starter and help avoid those awkward small talk moments. The book could be anything from a firm favourite, childhood classic or current read.
The evening would not be possible without the kind support of Frome Town Council and has been sponsored by the publishers Pan Macmillan. Tickets are free, but booking is essential as spaces are limited. You can reserve a place by contacting Hunting Raven on 01373 473111 or winstonebooks3@gmail.com or by booking online at www.bit.ly/Meetbythebook
