Local charity, Frome’s Children’s Festival, are getting ready for their annual week of family fun celebrating being active and encouraging residents to try out new sports. It aims to give local families free tasters of some of the great opportunities available in Frome, from tennis to aerobics, cricket to archery and football to boccia.
Frome Town Council will be there to showcase their E-Bikes, letting people have a whizz around for free and offering discount codes for those who are keen to hire them out for a whole or half day.
The E-Bikes are so popular as having that added bit of electric assistance helps to make cycling up hills a little easier and is a lot of fun. It’s also a great way to improve your health and wellbeing and creates less reliance on cars which helps to cut pollution. Usually, the E-Bikes can be found at Cycology Bikes and can be booked online by going to www.frometowncouncil.gov.uk/ebikes/
Sports Fest takes place on 28 April from 10am-2pm at Victoria Park and Mary Baily Playing Field, where you can also give zorb ball racing a go, reach new heights with the climbing wall and maybe even show off your slam dunk in basketball.
