March is just around the corner, spring is in the air and with it the return of the ever-popular Frome Busks. On Saturday 9th March, the town centre will come alive with the sound of music, instruments and voices from 11am to 2pm.
Frome Town Council host this exciting annual event in association with Frome College, whose students will be performing on various stages in the heart of town. There are set to be eight stages in various locations around the town centre, encouraging audiences to move around the town and immerse themselves in the music. Each stage across town will host the students, who will provide a range of musical styles with some well-known songs mixed with some original compositions.
Mayor Philip Campagna said: “A Frome favourite of mine will once again take place on 9th March: Frome Busks. This event enables young musicians from Frome College to perform to the people of Frome. It was truly amazing to see such talented young students perform their own music and lyrics in previous years, so come on down and support the talent we have in Frome.”
The lineup will be announced closer to the time and any money raised by the busking on the day will go towards extra-curricular music performances and productions for Frome College students.
