FromeFM is a non-profit, community radio station, providing niche music programmes. Frome focussed debates and reportage, sustained support for and coverage of the work of community groups, and radio for children. What started life as a small project back in 2005 is now a thriving local radio station, commissioned by OFCOM to broadcast on 96.6FM and available to listen to online.
We present our Radio Active show every 4 weeks. The show includes a mix of national and local news and updates on work across the town that relates to health and wellbeing. Each show includes a lively mix of guests who are keen to let us know what they’re doing in Frome to support wellbeing.
Radio Active is also repeated several times throughout the week following the initial airing (Thursday 6pm, Friday 3pm, Saturday 5pm, Sunday 9am and Monday 12pm.) You can also listen to previous episodes of the show here.
If you’ve an idea for a topic the show could cover that relates to health and wellbeing in Frome or you’re interested in coming on the show yourself, please let us know. We are keen to involve as many people as possible in what we are chatting about so would love to hear from you. Contact Nicola Cretney, Health and Wellbeing Manager at Frome Town Council, for more information.
