Frome Town Council’s final meeting of 2024 took place on Wednesday 4th December, at the town hall. A presentation by Inspector Rachel Clark, recently returned to the area, shared the welcome news of a new ANPR camera on the A361 bypass. There was a road safety and Community Speedwatch update from Cllr Anita Collier and an update for councillors on the Safer School Streets project from Economic Regeneration and Development Manager Peter Wheelhouse. The meeting concluded with a discussion about the council’s work related to the climate emergency and taking this forward into 2025.
Mayor Andy Jones said “FTC meet monthly throughout the year, and as your town council, your input is invaluable to help us make decisions, large and small. All residents are welcome to attend the meetings and the agenda is always published at least a week in advance. Do take a moment to visit the website, look at the topics under discussion and if you have thoughts to share, join us either in person or online. Whether you come to council meetings or not, you can get in touch with us at any time by emailing info@frometowncouncil.gov.uk or calling 01373 465757 and your query will be passed to the relevant councillor/s.”
The town hall will be closed between 2pm on Christmas Eve until 9am on Thursday 2nd January. FTC wishes everyone an enjoyable and peaceful festive season.
