Grant funding available for Frome’s community initiatives

Do you have a great idea for Frome but can’t find the funds to make it happen? The next round of Community Grants from Frome Town Council is now open. The fund is available for applications of up to £3,000 from groups or organisations who can demonstrate improved physical, mental, emotional health and environmental or economic outcomes and have a direct, positive, impact on Frome residents.

Chair of the Grants Committee, Cllr Philip Campagna said: “This Grants round is closing on Wednesday 16th August, so there’s plenty of time to submit your application. The Community Grants supports a wide variety of projects and initiatives and recent successful applications have included Frome’s Youth Club, Mind Your Music and funding for a creation of a youth space for Wessex Counselling & Psychotherapy to name just a few.”

A recent recipient was the Emergence Festival who held their second festival in 2022. They said: “The festival was a huge success overall. We had many more people engaging in each event, and it felt full and inspiring for everyone, both performers, audience and participants. The Community Grants are wonderful, and our grant was completely essential to the successful running of the festival. Without it, it would have been a smaller, less vibrant festival, reaching less people – so thank you Frome Town Council.”
