This September Frome Town Council have been encouraging everyone to give cycling a go and experience some of the many benefits of biking riding.
For those that are looking to cut down on their carbon emissions a good first step is an e-bike. Electric assistance helps to reduce the strain of cycling up hills and makes cycling a lot of fun, but what does it actually feel like to try one out?
After not having been on a bike for over 15 years, Nykki Mehta, Customer Service Advisor at Frome Town Council was persuaded to give e-bikes a go for Cycle September.
Here is what she had to say about her new found love for cycling:
“After many an encouraging conversation from my work colleagues, I decided to hire the bike for the weekend and give it a go. I was quite nervous about being on the road without a metal cage wrapped around me, but with trusted helmet on head off I went.
Wow, what an experience. I had never imagined that I could cycle up a hill with such ease and practically one handed. My hubby and I went on a round trip to Mells and back to Frome clocking up 13.7 miles. He was on a normal road bike and boy could he feel it! It was a truly exhilarating experience and I would give it 10 out of 10 for enjoyment and ease. I even managed to cycle to work and back for the two following days and now I’ve had to give it back to the shop I really miss it! Who would have thought?”
There is still time to take advantage of 25% discount throughout September if you quote CycleSeptember when booking. Find out more and book online here.
