Frome Town Council has received news this afternoon that Frome based printing company, Butler Tanner & Dennis Limited that currently employs 100 staff is going into administration. The appointment of the administrators will take effect from 23 May.
In response to this announcement, Councillor Mel Usher, Leader of Frome Town Council said, ‘The news received today that Butler Tanner & Dennis is going into administration is very sad indeed. The company has been an important part of Frome’s community and economy for many years. The news that the maps operation will continue to trade is encouraging and the Town Council stands ready to help with a search for a suitable site. We will also work closely with other agencies to support the staff and their families affected by this decision. Early contact will be made with the holding company and administrator to explore how we can assist.’
