This edition is full of Christmas cheer with the winner of the Mayor’s Christmas Card competition, supporting and celebrating our local independent retailers with a handy shopping guide from Discover Frome and a look back at the wonderful Christmas Light Switch On.
There is also good news in the shape of nearly £44,000 being awarded to local organisations doing incredible work in our community, a new crossing for the Butts planned for 2025 thanks to central government funding and the Council giving the green light to a proposal outlining which local assets and services it could take on from Somerset Council in response to the county’s ongoing financial crisis.
As we head towards the end of the year we, of course, turn our attention to the new year! And have already got some exciting plans and events on the horizon including a chance to pay it forward by donating unwanted phones, laptops and other digital devices in a tech amnesty on 2nd February at the Town Hall.
