It’s been an exciting week this week with Cllr Sara Butler handing over the mayoral chains to Cllr Philip Campagna. We thank Sara for all her hard work this past year and look forward to working with our new mayor who we’re sure will be kept very busy with all the wonderful projects and events happening in Frome.
There was even more excitement during the first Big Bat Count where volunteers were able to monitor and identify a good variety of bat species in the area with help from the Somerset Bat Group.
We are encouraged by these observations, and it’s projects such as the Eco Team at Wesley Methodist Church planting wildflowers, all those taking part in this year’s Great Big Green Week, and a free bus travel day offered by First Bus that encourage us to live a greener life.
