Frome Town Council’s meeting on 12th March had a packed agenda. Topics under discussion included:

  • Parking and proposed highway changes on Wesley Close
  • Selwood Garden Community – possible next steps since the project was ‘called in’ by central government and how FTC and Somerset Council can be involved.
  • Frome Leisure Centre
  • A Kindness Festival update from Alison Murdoch of The Good Heart
  • A new approach to twinning and a potential new ‘twin town’ in Pieve de Soligo, Italy
  • A business case for a Facilities Manager to manage FTC’s buildings
  • Looking at new ways of working for the community grants programme
  • An update from FTC’s Climate Action Lead Matt Mellen
  • Progress of devolution of assets and services from Somerset Council
  • An update on works at Badgers Hill, including a new changing block

The next full meeting of Frome Town Council is on Wednesday 30th April, 7pm to 9pm at Frome Town Hall. Everyone welcome – book tickets for the 30th April council meeting.

The Annual Town meeting takes place on Wednesday 2nd April, 7pm to 9pm at Frome Town Hall, featuring a review of Mayor Andy Jones’ year, the people and groups who have made a difference, and the Mayor’s Civic Awards. Book tickets for the Annual Town Meeting.
