Frome residents with an interest in learning about climate change can find out more at a free talk taking place at Frome Town Hall.
Dr. Aaron Thierry, a passionate advocate for environmental and social justice who has studied the impact of climate change on the artic, is coming to Frome on Monday 18th February to give an overview of the latest science of climate change and its impacts on human welfare.
Aaron said “Although the climate science is extremely worrying, my talk will demonstrate the capacity for humanity to change by exploring how we have addressed previous challenges and examining examples of action around the world that are already taking place. We will finish by exploring the ways we as individuals and societies can contribute to the great transformation.”
Cllr Shelia Gore said, “As part of declaring a climate emergency Frome Town Council committed to going carbon neutral by 2030. This talk is a chance to really understand the facts behind climate change and what we can all do to make a difference.”
Finding Courage in the Climate Crisis will take place at the Frome Town Hall on Monday 18th February 7.15-9.00 pm. It is suitable for a general audience and will be followed by a question and discussion session.
