Frome Town Council organised a day of free family activities in Rodden Meadow on Saturday 2 May. Despite chilly weather and threat of heavy rain around 800 people came along during the event to join in the many activities planned. Activities included a climbing wall, table sports area, toddler play, 3D snakes and ladders, Djembe drumming, walking football and a tug of war to name but a few! Local groups got involved such as: The Late Club, Incredible Edible Frome, FROGs, the Children’s festival and Mendip all Drummers. Event oraginser Sarah Russell said “We were thirlled that so many people could attend! A BIG Thank you to everyone who braved the chilly weather to come to MAYhem in the Meadow – we had a brilliant day andreceived great feedback about the event, so there are plans to do another. Some people shared that they had never visited the meadow before, so it was a great way for local residnts and families to have fun, spend time together and learn about this wonderful open space right in the centre of town!”
