Environment Agency to begin river work by Welshmill

To enable the Environment Agency to help carry out essential maintenance to reduce flood risk in Frome, contractors will be widening the existing access path to allow plant and machinery to safely get to the working site.

Please note change to dates of footpath works. The works will mean a temporary closure of the access path from Welshmill Lane to the Round House will be in place from Monday 19th August – Friday 23rd August.

The work planned is to build a permanent watercraft launching site and lifting pad by the Roundhouse to carry out essential maintenance work as and when necessary.
