Frome Town Council has declared a Climate Emergency and is committed to becoming a net-zero town by 2030. Our energy work aims to reduce emissions from heat and power to near-zero, eliminate fuel poverty and cold homes, reduce bills and make the town more energy resilient.
In September 2016 Frome Town Council commissioned research to understand how Frome could become “fossil fuel free” by 2046. While this has now been superseded by our Climate Emergency resolution, the findings are still useful as we develop our energy strategy:
