Local charity Purple Elephant offer a variety of family activities for all ages during each school holiday period for families in need of support. Please email Purple Elephant for more details of activities in the run up to school holidays.
Activities are usually two hours long followed by lunch (provided by Fair Frome) and vary from day to day, including cooking, crafts, sport, music – the list is endless. Their activities are held in various venues so that they are easy to reach across Frome.
Purple Elephant Family Support run charitable services for children and families in Frome and the local area. Services include Small Steps parenting support, a befriending service for children aged 5 – 12yrs; the Frome Toy Library; Family Holiday Fun – family activities for all ages during each school holiday period; and the Frome Children’s Festival – a one day, free event for children of all ages offering loads of different activities, which doubles as a training project for teenagers.
Some of Purple Elephant’s services are open to all and others are for referred families only; all are either free or very low cost. The charity’s primary aim is to support social inclusion and integration, supporting those who are most vulnerable in our community.
