A project to connect people and reclaim public spaces starts trialling this September.
Lunch Bunch is a free, two-hour pop-up dining table for grown-ups where you bring your own lunch and sit with others. Crosswords, jigsaws, card and board games are all available and prizes can be won!
It’s an opportunity to get outdoors, chat to folk in town and do something different. So many of us spend lunch breaks scrolling on our phones or eat at a computer. It’s much healthier to take a proper break, do something fun and connect with others.
The project isn’t just for people on their lunch break from work. It’s also a great reason to get out of the house on weekdays, especially for people without kids or whose children have grown up or are in school.
Lunch Bunch runs Wednesdays in September 2024 from 12-2pm, in different locations in the town centre. Plus a one-off Saturday Lunch Bunch and an additional session on 16th October. It’s totally free, and you can stop by for five minutes or stay for the whole two hours. Some light refreshments are provided but please bring your own lunch.
