Frome Renewable Energy Community (FRECo) is hosting a forum on Saturday 25th March at Frome Town Hall from 6pm to 7pm. FRECo Renewable Energy Coordinator Linnea Hopkins said:
“FRECo develops community-owned energy projects to cut carbon and power local buildings with renewables. We enable the local community to invest in clean, renewable energy through community shares. We are a not for profit, democratic organisation; any surplus from our renewable generation projects is reinvested in a community fund to support energy saving. We’re run entirely by volunteers – so whether you’re interested in getting involved, investing, or sharing ideas, join the upcoming information evening on 25th March. Book a free ticket and come along to learn, connect, and explore how we can build a greener, fairer future together. If you can’t attend on the day, it’s still worth signing up, as all ticket holders will receive a recording of the event.”
On the agenda
- FRECo update – our latest projects and the FRECo Community Fund
- Phillip Morris (Ashden) – opportunities in the community energy sector, including the Government’s new Local Power Plan
- Matt Mellen (Frome Town Council) – plans for climate and energy in Frome
The FRECo forum takes place on Tuesday 25th March at Frome Town Hall from 6pm to 7pm. Book free tickets at https://bit.ly/freco-forum. Attendance can be in person or online and a recording will be sent to all ticket holders
