Let’s Talk team sharing more communication skills on 25th July

The latest workshop from Frome’s Let’s Talk team takes place on Thursday 25th July at Frome Town Hall from 6.30pm to 8pm, helping people approach difficult conversations in a more positive and beneficial way. As always the workshop is free and open to all interested parties. The July workshop, Introduction to Circles, explores the use of ‘restorative circles’, a technique for exploring difficult subjects where everyone can feel heard and understood. Claire Hein, a Let’s Talk facilitator, said:

“Restorative circles offer a way of building relationships in a team or group and in addressing potential disagreement or conflict that may be arising. They allow us hear each other and understand each other’s needs with empathy and compassion. This 75-minute session will provide you with an introduction to the different ways of using restorative circles. There will also be an opportunity to take part in a circle if that is of interest to you.”

The Let’s Talk group meet regularly to practise their skills and develop ways to share them in their community. They have hosted events and webinars in the past and the July workshop is one of several themed workshops planned for this year.
