We are delighted to announce that following a 46-year break, wedding ceremonies are returning to the historic building! The last wedding took place in March 1974, and the building has since been used for multiple purposes and currently is the vibrant, busy home to Frome Town Council. 
Working with Somerset Registration Services, the Town Hall has been granted a wedding licence and can now be used as a registry office, reverting back to its previous use, although now both marriages and civil partnerships will be available. The civil ceremonies performed will be non-religious in nature and can be personalised by choosing music and creating bespoke vows making it unique to the couple’s special day.
There are two options to choose from depending on your ceremony requirements. First, there’s the more intimate downstairs room, which can hold up to twenty guests. There is also the elegant Council Chamber which can seat up to 100 guests so more family and friends can enjoy your big day should you need it.
Working as a registry office, on specific Saturdays during the year (please see the FTC website for details) each couple will be given an hour for their ceremony and photographs. As the Town Hall also has its own premises licence, you can enjoy a glass of celebratory fizz before your ceremony in the café. To top it off, should you book the final ceremony of the day, you will also be able to hire the Council Chamber should you wish your reception to be held at the venue.
