The following road and footpath closures are due to take place in and around Frome during July 2023.
Town Centre
Somerset Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting traffic from travelling within the town centre – North Parade, Market Place, Scott Road, King Street, Stony Street, Catherine Hill, Palmer Street and Bath Street between 06.00-18.00 on Sunday 2nd July 2023 as shown on the map:
This order will enable The Frome Independent Market to take place.

Friggle Street
Somerset Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Friggle Street, from 475 metres south of the junction with Warminster Road, southwards for a total distance of 50 metres.
This order will enable Bristol Water to carry out new installation works.
The order becomes effective on the 13th July 2023 with works now expected to start on the 17th July 2023 until 19th July 2023 between the hours of 00.00 – 23.59 for a total of 3 days.

Feltham Lane and Friggle Street
Somerset Council have issued temporary road closure notices prohibiting all traffic from travelling along:
- Friggle Street from the junction with Mill Lane and Shepherds Lane to the junction with A362 Rodden Down and Warminster Road, for a distance of 1880 metres
- Feltham Lane from the junction with East Woodlands Road and Shepherds Lane to Feltham Lane to the junction with Friggle Street to Feltham Lane, for a distance of 860 metres
- Feltham Lane from the junction with Friggle Street to Feltham Lane to the junction with the A361 Frome Bypass, for a distance of 1030 metres.
This order will enable Somerset Highways to carry out surface dressing work.
The order becomes effective on the 27th April 2023 with works expected to start on the 28th July 2023 until 10th August 2023. The works will be for ONE DAY within the stated period and the road will be reopened when no works are taking place.

Rodden Road
Somerset Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Rodden Road, from the junction with Roddenbury Close, eastwards for a total distance of 150 metres.
This order will enable Network Rail to carry works on the rail bridge
The order becomes effective on the 16th July 2023 with works expected to start on the 16th July 2023 until 17th July 2023 between the hours of 20:00 – 04:00 for a total of 8 hours.

Clink Road
Somerset Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Clink Road, from 200 metres east of the junction with Frome Bypass Feeder Road West, eastwards for a total distance of 50 metres.
This Order will enable Bristol Water to carry out work to install new water supply.
The Order becomes effective on 13th July 2023 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 18th July 2023 and last until 21st July 2023 between the hours of 00:00 – 23:59 for a total of 4 days.

Somerset Council have issued a temporary road closure notice prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Catherine Street, from the junction with Badcox, to the junction with Morgans Lane. A total distance of 57 metres.
This Order will enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out works to lay new gas service.
The order becomes effective on the 20th 2023 with works expected to start on the 25th July 2023 until 28th July 2023 between the hours of 00:00 – 23:59 for a total of 4 days.

Cuckoo Lane and Gypsy Lane
Somerset Council have issued temporary road closure notices prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Cuckoo Lane and Gypsy Lane:
- Cuckoo Lane from the junction with B3090 Bath Road and Oldford Hill to the junction with Iron Mill Lane, for a distance of 730 metres
- Gypsy Lane from the junction with the B3090 Bath Road and Oldford Hill to the junction with Berkley Lane, for a distance of 885 metres
- Berkley Lane from the junction with Gypsy Lane to 1380 metres from the junction with Gypsy Lane, for a distance of 1380 metres.
This order will enable Somerset Highways to carry out surface dressing work.
The order becomes effective on the 27th April 2023 with works expected to start on the 31st July 2023 until 13th August 2023. The works will be for ONE DAY within the stated period and the road will be reopened when no works are taking place.

Sandys Hill Lane
Somerset Council have issued temporary road closure notices prohibiting all traffic from travelling along Sandys Hill Lane for approximately 314 metres.
The new date for the works to commence is 17th July 2023 and is expected to last until 21st July 2023 between the hours of 00:00 – 23:59.
These works are for Renelec Groundworks Ltd to carry out work to install new storm drain.
