The next consultation stage in the School Streets project is now in full swing and Frome Town Council are encouraging anyone who lives, works or passes through the area to review the project plans and submit their comments and thoughts before the trial begins later in the year.
Nikki Brain, Frome Town Council’s Resilience Officer said: “It’s been great to be out and about chatting to the people of Frome about this community project. Together with Sustrans we will continue throughout April to gather comments on the new draft design and there are lots of ways you can review them.”
There are several drop-in sessions planned at the Town Hall (Thursday 7th April, 1-4pm; Wednesday 20th April, 9am-12pm) or catch the team for a chat at the crossroads of Nunney Road and Oakfield Road (26th April, 3-4pm; 27th April, 8-9.30am).
Nikki added: “We want to make it as easy as possible for people to see these new plans so we’ve also got the design boards displayed at Frome Town Hall so why not pop in when passing, or if it’s easier and more convenient you can view the designs online”.
The review period launched on 4th April and will be run until the 4th May. Following this the design will be finalised and installed over the next 12 months then trialled for a period of 18 months.
