If you are concerned about someone sleeping rough on the streets, there are some local organisations that can give advice. Please click on the links below to learn more.
Fair Housing for Frome have a leaflet that provides information around homelessness including where to go for individuals and families and other sources of support. Click on the link to see the leaflet.
ELIM Connect (based at Wells) 01749 677097 has an outreach team who will come out and do an assessment within 24 hours. They have a 6 bed provision for the whole of Mendip which provides up to 7 nights’ accommodation, as part of a stepping stone arrangement into other accommodation.
They also have a weekly drop-in surgery: Fair Frome at the foodbank in the Elliot Building behind Frome Town Hall, Christchurch Street, Frome, every Tuesday at 11 – 1 pm.
Please also see http://www.mendip.gov.uk/roughsleeping for details about Mendip’s accommodation, especially in the colder weather snaps. An emergency shelter is opened in Mendip when the temperature reaches or is expected to fall below 0 degrees for three consecutive nights.

People who are or may become homeless can receive in-depth homeless prevention advice with an emergency appointment to come back later the same day.
