On the 12th of November the Cheese and Grain will be filled with Electric vehicles and bikes for you to come and take a close look at. This all day event provides you with the opportunity to get up close and experience a variety of electric vehicles. The range will include those available to try in Frome (such as the E-Car Club’s Renault ZOEs and the Frome Town Council electric bike-to-health borrow scheme based at Cycology Bikes), as well as others which are seen on our roads, all under one solar-panelled roof.
This one day event is free entry for the public with a display of electric vehicles and bicycles, from the Council’s new additional Utility vehicle to the mark 1 Tesla Roadster electric sports car, inside the venue from 11 am – 3pm to then be followed by the Electric Pedals cycle-cinema showing the iconic film Labyrinth starring David Bowie.
These events promote and encourage more sustainable methods of transport for Frome to reduce pollution and increase health and well-being, as well as supporting Frome’s Missing Links. Donations are welcome. And you might like to hop on a bike and pedal to help cycle-power the electricity for the film!
We encourage people to arrive on foot or cycle (bike parking is available outside) or in their own electric vehicles to share their electric driving experience with others. Free Sunday parking is available outside the venue (public charging will be very limited at the venue but see www.openchargemap.org for charging facilities in the area if absolutely needed).
We can’t wait to see you there.
