We are quickly approaching that time of year again when sleigh bells will be ringing, chestnuts will be roasting on an open fire and Frome Big Christmas Get Together is being planned.
Frome Big Christmas Get Together is a free community festive lunch at the Football Club for anyone who is on their own on Christmas Day. Guests can apply by filling out a Guest form available from Frome library. Spaces fill up quickly so book a place soon.
The event is generously supported by both volunteers and many local business and community groups. Without this support the town would not be able to put on this fantastic event. If you would like to volunteer before or on the day please email fromechristmas@gmail.com. Some of the current volunteering opportunities include:
- Table hosts on Christmas Day to engage with guests,
- Drivers on Christmas Day to pick up and drop off guests from their homes,
- Charity fundraising collectors at the Frome Independent Market on December the 3rd
- A lead person to help coordinate the clean up operation after 3.30pm on Christmas Day
