Young Somerset is the largest youth work charity in Somerset and their mission is to put young people first. Their aim is to work with young people, encouraging them to take responsibility for themselves and become actively involved in shaping the communities in which they live. At Young Somerset they seek to develop a youth work relationship that is open, honest, respectful, trusting and led by the young person.
Targeted Youth Work is the work they do with vulnerable young people, who have specific needs or characteristics requiring a focused response. They identify and support young people, finding ways to strengthen their resilience and ability to bring about positive change.
