Have you noticed that computers are starting to be built without CD drives? Or that everyone is constantly comparing broadband speeds?
Shops and shopping are becoming more virtual – and social media is the fastest growing means of communication. Hosted by Frome Chamber of Commerce and Frome Town Council, the September Discuss & Do session will discuss this theme with a workshop entitled What is ‘The Cloud’ and how can it help you, to be held at 6pm on Tuesday 27th September at The Cornerhouse.
Simon Williams from Frome and District Chamber of Commerce introduces the subject by asking some key questions: ‘The Cloud is an ever growing presence in the world today. We all probably have an idea of roughly what it is, but how can we use it? What is it good for? How does it help our business?’
Adam Harling from Netitude Ltd will be joining this month’s Discuss and Do to answer just these questions. Based in Frome for the last 10 years, Netitude was recently recognised as one of the top 500 Managed Service Providers in the world. Adam is going to share his extensive knowledge, offer some practical tips, and facilitate a lively discussion on modern business’s dependence on The Cloud, how it can be utilised effectively, and what future benefits it may offer.
The Discuss and Do events are open for all local businesses, charities, and social enterprises and are free to attend. As a result of their growing popularity, pre-booking a place is essential in order to secure a place. The sessions start at 6pm and run until 8pm. If you would like to attend the upcoming September Discuss and Do, please email Charlie Orr at Frome Town Council – orrc@frometowncouncil.gov.uk.
