The recently published Bristol to Weymouth line guide celebrates all that is great about Frome and its reputation for festivals and events. The new guide published by the Heart of Wessex Rail partnership with support from GWR was produced with the help of Frome town council and Frome Festival – making it a mini guide to Frome for rail travellers.
The guide became available from Frome station and Frome library earlier in the spring, which has proved popular. The fold out guide has a detailed and easy to read rail timetable, as well as key calendar dates for July’s Frome Festival together with monthly and weekly markets.
Town centre coordinator Mark Brookes said “This is a well-designed and useful rail guide for Frome residents and visitors alike. Whilst some of the events featured on the guide will have passed in the next few weeks the publication is useful enough to keep handy for the rest of the year. Frome is very lucky to have a station and with summer here the Weymouth line is a popular option for trips to the coast.”
The Bristol to Weymouth line guide is just one of many useful and handy information guides available at the town council’s information centre based in Frome library. For more information, contact Mark Brookes at Frome Town Council on 01373 465757 or email brookesm@frometowncouncil.gov.uk
