The Frome Independent is back on Sunday 3 April!

The Frome Independent is back this coming Sunday! Visitors can expect to find a dazzling array of great designer-made goodies, homespun musical entertainment, vintage treasures and delicious local food. The crowds are expected to be as big as ever and in preparation for this, some advice on parking and travel arrangements is offered.

Visitors to the market are encouraged to walk or cycle into the town centre if possible. But if travelling by car, by far the best option is to make use of the extremely convenient Park & Ride service.

Park & Ride
Park your car at Frome Medical Practice, BA11 2FH or Selwood Academy BA11 2EF and hop on the bus for a small fee. First bus 10am, last bus from town centre 3.45pm.

By Bus
Route 267 from Bath. Set down and pick up in Cork St car park on market Sundays.

By Bike
Frome is on Route 24 of the National Cycle Network, which includes the Colliers Way, connecting the Dundas Aqueduct and Frome.

Visitors are kindly requested to park with consideration (please do not park on pavements, block driveways or sight lines at junctions) and are advised to observe the new parking restrictions in force on Vicarage Street, Saxonvale, Cork Street, Welshmill Road, Welshmill Lane and South Parade as traffic enforcement will be in operation on market Sundays. These restrictions are being introduced by Somerset County Council following public consultation and advertisement of the proposals last year.

Follow this link to see maps with details of the restrictions that will apply to each of the streets.

From May, new train services are being introduced by GWR (was First Great Western) in recognition of the growing popularity of the market amongst residents of Bath, Bristol and other places in the sub-region. For further details click on https://www.gwr.com/
