A BIG thanks to everyone who came to VolunTea in the Park 7 June and to all those who volunteered at the event to make it spectacularly enjoyable! It was great to see so many people enjoying scones, ice creams, cakes, finger sandwiches and tea in the sunshine.
VolunTea in the Park was an event included in a week’s worth of workshops and sessions to say thank you to local volunteers for the work they do in and around Frome. The week’s programme informed local people about what it is volunteers do, answered questions for those thinking of volunteering and provided valuable educational workshops for volunteers to attend free of charge, to further their skills for the volunteering they do for local organisations and charities.
Kate Bielby the Mayor of Frome welcomed more than 200 local volunteers for VolunTea in The Park – special thanks to the Frome Town Youth Band who serenaded guests from the band stand, and congratulations to the team from Odd Down Sainsbury’s and Pac who walked 15 miles from Bath to raise funds for PAC and join other local volunteers for tea.
