The planning application for a new ramp at the front of the building, and an emergency fire escape have now been submitted to Mendip’s planning department. At present we are working on the detailed designs for the internal rooms and carrying out some urgent repairs to external features such as guttering, down pipes and windows. We expect to be able to move in by the end of this calendar year.
The plan is still to provide a base to the Citizen’s Advice Centre, Positive Action on Cancer, Fair Frome, Active and in Touch and (hopefully) Frome FM as well as FTC. There will also be bookable meeting rooms and conference facilities so that local groups have a base for meetings and workshops. For more information please get in touch with Paul Wynne here.
